Why is this important to you?
Oral Radiology is a very important component to dentistry.
X-rays allow Dental Professionals to see certain things that are not visible through an oral visual exam. X-rays are more than just pictures of your teeth. They help evaluate growth and placement and they allow the dental team to observe your tissues, roots and bones. They are useful in locating tartar and identifying the presence and location of cavities. Oral Radiologists are important partners in diagnosing many mouth- and throat-related medical conditions.
